چکیده
The present study aimed to investigate the adsorption capacity of two anionic dyes, namely, Congored (CR) and Coralene Dark Red2B (DR), onto prepared alginate (Alg) chitosan(Cs) biopolymer films. biopolymers were combined at different mass ratios using a “solvent-cast” process incorporate their unique properties evaluate effectiveness in removing dyes. All samples characterized by means Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), electron microscopy (SEM) determination point zero charge (pHpzc). swelling determined gravimetric measurements. effects pH, time, thickness, temperature initial concentration CR DR dyes on results studied systematically. dye kinetics showed that Alg/Cs films % proportions 75/25, 50/50, 25/75 0/100 reached equilibrium from 30 min 180 with high removal efficiencies varied between 222.30 mg/g 842.36 mg/g. mechanism synthesized biofilms was confirmed through Langmuir isotherm fitted well pseudo-second-order model, suggesting monolayer chemisorption process. thermodynamic demonstrated spontaneity feasibility as exothermic nature. Hence, findings revealed could be employed potential natural adsorbents for pollutants aqueous environments.

Preparation and characterization of Montmorillonite/ZrO2 nanocomposite and its application for removal of Congo red
Montmorillonite/ZrO2 nanocomposites were prepared by the sol-gel method underultrasonic irradiation. The montmorillonite was incorporated into Zirconium gel. After stirring for 24 hr, the mixture was irradiated for 30 min under ultrasonic irradiation. The filtrated composite gel was calcinated at 400°C for 3h in furnace. The morphology of prepared catalysts was characterized by field emis...
